- HIGH LIGHT OUTPUT: The Spider Farmer SF600 vegetable grow lights use 384 Osram diodes. With only 72 watts of power consumption, it consumes less energy and costs less electricity than fluorescent T5 bulbs. Features a 120° beam angle for increased light focus and improved light efficiency, luminous flux and light concentration.
- FULL SPECTRUM GROW LIGHT: The plant grow light emits broadband full spectrum light, 660-665nm (red), 730-740nm (IR), 2800K-3000K (warm white), 4800-5000K (blue), which has a significant impact on plant germination, flowering, fruiting, plant chlorophyll synthesis, and photosynthesis.
- LONG SERVICE LIFE: The high quality diodes emit very little heat. The LEDs are coated with a moisture and sulfation resistant coating and have a life span of up to 50,000 hours.
- SIMPLE DESIGN AND INSTALLATION: Plug and play. Simply mount to the socket, no need to change the ballast or fix it to any fixture. The slim design and cool operation make it a great choice for space-constrained applications such as closets, shelves or countertop plantings. With this light, you can grow anywhere.
- 5 YEAR WARRANTY: We offer 5 years of after-sales service from our local repair center (USA/Canada/UK/Germany). Make sure you are buying an authentic Spider Farmer grow light, a high quality grow light that really improves yields. Please feel free to email us if you have any questions.
This light has proven its value for me over the last year. I started growing with this as my primary overhead light. I then upgraded to a more powerful spider farmer EVO. But I found I had under powered my purchase, so I thought that if I use my sf600 as a side light it might solve my problem. It is working great for me, so much that I just bought another 600 for the same purpose.
When the other reviewers say that this light is bright, they really mean it. I bought two of these lights for growing cacti year round indoors. However, they’re a bit too bright for my needs. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because I wish it had a built in dimmer or at least a proprietary dimmer that could be bought separately. The multi-light control panel Spider Farmer offers is way too much for my needs. So, I’m off to look for a way to dim these lights. All I need is a knob to turn to adjust the brightness. I really don’t want a “smart” dimmer or a control panel with way more features than I’ll ever use.
I got this light about a month ago and can say I am extremely happy with it so far! It is far brighter than my previous grow light and the whole fixture weighs about the same as just the bulb from my old setup, so it lives up to its claim of being light weight. I am happy it is easy to adjust because you can tune in exactly where it needs to be for whatever you are growing. I am currently running this light over my miniature orchidarium and my plants are all reacting well so far. The width of the fixture over the tank really helps distribute the light well throughout so light saturation has increased and over shading is a thing of the past, unless I intentionally shade a plant. I highly recommend this light to anyone who is into terrariums/vivariums and for growers of all kinds. I am eager to see how their larger fixtures do and considering trying one of the sf-1000 fixtures for my larger orchid grow tent in the near future!
After much research I concluded that a full spectrum light is perfect for my use. I start about 24 seedlings each spring and pick the 6 best for potting up and transplanting in the garden. My grow setup is a table I built that is 19×24 inches an easily handles that many plants.
The problem with my old (4 T12 daylight fluorescent tubes) setup was spindly and leggy seedlings. I’m hoping this new setup resolves that. The pictures are from an experiment I started June 1, 2021 to test the new setup. So far everything is looking good. The plants have all set the first set of true leaves so in a week or so I expect they will be ready to pot up from the Burpee cells to 4-inch pots. Stay tuned for updates.
My reasons for choosing this light are cost and recommendations from some gardening sites I follow on YouTube. Most everything I saw on either side of this unit’s price point were either under powered, not full spectrum or twice the cost. The 3-year warranty also helped.
Fantastic lights! I wanted to review these since I don’t grow Marijuana – only vegetables and flowers. These worked fantastic for my tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers (hot and sweet) and everything else. I ended up with 5 of them for all my starts and the lights really worked well. They fit great on the black and silver racks from home depot/menards/lowes/etc. and give terrific light. I even (later in the starting season) had plants on the floor around the racks and they got enough light to keep going.
When compared to T5 lights (garage lights), these were much better, the plants happier (more dark green leaves) and growth much faster. The shipping was quick, and the packaging good enough that I am storing the lights in the original boxes. 10/10.
There are others that have wifi control, more adjustments etc, but for pure functionality – highly recommend these. You may want to partner them with a power strip with a timer, or a power strip so its a quick on/off (I strapped one to a leg of one of the racks), but overall – great.
